AUTO TRANSFER FROM LOAD ROUNDS TO THE AMMO DUMP

When using the LOAD ROUNDS section and features, your reloads can be automatically transferred to THE AMMO DUMP. An AMMO ID number is created and the relevant reloading data is displayed in these fields, including costs. In NOTES/LOT # all details about the reloading session are transferred. Also there you can record VELOCITY, KINETIC ENERGY, GROUP SIZE and TARGET DISTANCE for a range session with that particular group of ammo.

MANUAL ENTRY

01) For every box of ammo you wish to manually enter click NEW RECORD. You will be given an AMMO ID number to write on the ammo box. The number generated is based on the last greatest number of your other recorded AMMO ID numbers. This is very important for accurate ammunition records. Enter the requested information into each field.

When creating a new record you will also have the option to 'DUPLICATE' the last entry (as many copies as you want). It will duplicate all information except for ammo EXPENDED, ammo ADJUST or any NOTES. It will be given a new AMMO ID number. This will greatly reduce entry time if you have several of the same ammo acquired from the same source. You will also find another option (at the far right of an AMMO ID record) to duplicate any existing AMMO ID and give it a new AMMO ID number.

In the CALIBER field you can enter the caliber. As you enter new a caliber a selectable list will be created. The same applies to all other fields. Once a new entry is made, a selectable pull-down list will be created for easier future entries.

Enter if it's DEFENSE ammo, HUNTING ammo, TARGET ammo or COMPETITIVE ammo. This will help determine what you want to use at the target range or during competition and what is best to use hunting or kept with the gun at night or with your concealed carry.

You can search for MANUFACTURER / DESCRIPTION, CALIBER or DEALER, and you can sort by many factors such as CALIBER, DATE and more. You can find DEFENSE, HUNTING, TARGET or COMPETITIVE ammo, open box, all expended and unopened box. You will know everything you have and where you stand for resupplies and even your shooting habits. You can record rounds fired by either entering ROUNDS REMAINING or ADD TO EXPENDED. You can also print a summary report of all your ammo. THE AMMO DUMP is loaded with features and abilities and almost identical to that in the Second Amendment Firearms Database programs. Nothing is more powerful.

PREP FOR EXPORT

02) If you have a Second Amendment Firearms Database program, any version, you can export the AMMO ID records shown on the screen (the found set) and then import them to THE AMMO DUMP in your firearms database.

These records are fully compatible and all data will be exported and imported. The 'PREP FOR EXPORT' button is on the far right just above the records. Always use this feature when exporting AMMO DUMP records. You can display any group of records you want. The entire found set will be exported. Go to your Second Amendment Firearms Database program and note the last AMMO ID number. Then, in this RELOADER program enter the starting number in the PREP FOR EXPORT field (one number greater than the number you noted). Then click to export.

In the 'Save as type:' field, select 'Filemaker Pro Runtime Files (*.fmpur)' over 'Tab-Separated Text Files (*.tab)'. This will provide better compatibility. Name this exported file whatever you want, anywhere you want. After being exported, the records will be set back to their original AMMO ID numbers in the RELOADER USA program. Then, in your firearms database, go to THE AMMO DUMP, select Import Records > File from the top menu and import them. When importing select the 'Files of type:' to 'Filemaker Pro Runtime Files (*.fmpur)'.
